UTI SYMPTOMS
Urinary tract infections often start with a faint prickly, ‘unfinished’ feeling when you’re urinating.
You might also experience other common symptoms of cystitis including:
- A burning or stinging sensation when urinating
- An urge to urinate frequently, but only passing small amounts of urine
- Cloudy, bloody or strong-smelling urine
- Pain above the pubic bone
If left untreated, cystitis can lead to serious complications. If you have any of the following symptoms, see your doctor as soon as possible:
- Blood in your urine
- Fever
- Nausea or vomiting
- Back pain or pain on your sides (in the kidney area)
